The Stock Exchange has done itself no good with the weak response to its own working party's plan for a new Enterprise Market for smaller companies.

It is to commission research into what small companies need and whether there is a demand for an alternative market. Surely that was the whole point of the working party, which decided there was a demand that needed to be met.
