Vodafone investment plan

Vodafone plans to invest up to pounds 400m in doubling its stake in SFR, the second French mobile network, to 20 per cent. The move is expected to increase the group's borrowing to pounds 600m by March 1997. The company said that its share of customers through overseas projects has reached 500,000.
