ONLY A third of the expected crowds went to the coast yesterday, with the highest temperatures reaching just 15C.
Promises of a hot bank holiday Monday led to speculation that hordes would flock to the seaside. "There are a only few bravehearts on the beach today," said David Reed, operations officer for Bournemouth seafront. "We have about 50,000 people on the seafront but we have had 120,000 on past bank holiday Mondays."
