FLOOD ALERTS throughout the country will remain in place despite a respite yesterday in the heavy downpours after forecasters predicted more rain today.
The Environment Agency placed an amber warning, its middle level of alert, on the River Dee in Wales, while yellow alerts were in place on parts of the River Severn and the rivers Isle, Lower Tone and Brue in Somerset.
