LEADING SCIENTISTS are to study the effects of climate change on Britain in a pounds 10m plan to help cope with disasters such as tornados, floods and heatwaves, it was announced yesterday.
The climate change centre will act as an umbrella for environmental scientists, engineers and economists who will work together to try and find sustainable solutions.
The location of the centre is yet to be decided.
