THREE PEOPLE have been killed and seven were missing last night in heavy floods in eastern Bulgaria.

Emergency crews continued round the clock to search for the missing and restore power, road and telephone links destroyed by the floods at the weekend caused by heavy three-day rains. Seven bridges were destroyed and 11 villages were still without electricity, according to the government.
