TROPICAL STORM Wendy has killed 133 people and left 59 missing in China, officials said yesterday.
Wendy struck the south-eastern province of Zhejiang and has already been dubbed by local media as "the most serious storm in a century" to hit the region. The storm has reportedly injured 2,600 people and forced another 528,000 to leave their homes. Economic losses were around 2.3 billion yuan (pounds 174m).
