BRITAIN'S INDIAN summer is set to continue with weather forecasters predicting temperatures of nearly 30C (86F). Central London will hit 29C (84F), which forecasters said was "impressive for the middle of September".
But the record is 33C (91F), which was registered on 7 September 1898. The highest recorded September temperatures in recent years were 29.8C (86F) in 1991 and 29.1C (84F) in 1984.
