Come Rain or Shine...

ONE ASSUMES that the 1,600 residents of the Dutch Antilles in the Caribbean are loyal to Queen Beatrix, but there must be some misgivings - every time she has announced a visit, the islands have been hit by a hurricane.

The islands were battered last year and when the Queen postponed her visit to the same time this year, they were hit by Hurricane Lenny. But yesterday, Queen Beatrix arrived safely.
