A RARE December tornado killed two people, injured at least five and destroyed three homes in Texas yesterday. Late-season twisters also struck in parts of Oklahoma and Oregon.

The victims, a husband and wife, lived in Chico, Texas. Their 20-month- old daughter survived.

The severe weather, associated with a cold front, produced high winds, downpours and hail, authorities said.
