As 100,000 Croat troops prepared to "obliterate" secessionist Krajina Serbs, the US last night won concessions that might prevent a full-scale war even at this late hour. The Krajina Serbs' leader, Milan Babic, agreed to negotiate on the "reintegration" of the breakaway region with Croatia. He also guaranteed to withdraw from the Bihac pocket.
