Congo gets a new military leader

THE CONGOLESE President, Laurent Kabila, has named a new military chief of staff after winning his allies' support for a push against rebels. Commandant Eddy Kapend was promoted on Wednesday after Angola, Zimbabwe and Namibia committed more troops. - Reuters
