Channel Tunnel - clarification

The head-line of our article: “Channel Tunnel accused of ‘outrageous’ tax avoidance” (25 October 2013) omitted to give the full title of the company referred to, Channel Tunnel rail link (HS1) .

Channel Tunnel operators, Groupe Eurotunnel SA, have pointed out that it is a privately owned French company based in Paris and fully respects both French and UK tax legislation, paying all the tax it owes. We apologise for the confusion.
