A man who kept up to 35 Alsatian dogs in his house was jailed for 21 days yesterday for failing to keep them quiet. Andrew Debidin admitted breaching a legal undertaking not to cause a noise nuisance at his home in Three Mile Cross, near Reading, Berkshire.
Mr Justice Longmore found him in contempt of court because there had been no attempt to reduce the nuisance. The dogs bothered neighbours at all hours of the day and night, the High Court was told.The local authority now has power to remove them. Peter Victor
