East Timor rebels expect attack

THE LEADER of the armed resistance in East Timor, Matan Ruak, says the Indonesian government is secretly massing troops in the occupied territory in preparation for an offensive against rebel forces there. Last month, the Indonesian Armed Forces announced they were withdrawing troops from the former Portuguese colony.
