A new mood seems to be sweeping through the education world. One of the country's leading independent schools, Wellington College, is to timetable lessons in happiness for pupils from September. Britain's biggest teachers' union, the National Union of Teachers, is calling for more time for fun in primary schools and wants the Government to spend more money on climbing frames for schools so pupils can play. Maybe the spring sunshine is causing everyone to lighten up.
