Two pensioners have been evicted from their Leicester council flat in the latest legal action taken against racial harassment. The couple, who were the only white tenants in their building, had displayed racist posters in their windows. Other authorities have taken similar action, but this is believed to be the first instance that racist posters have been accepted as evidence of harassment. The couple are now regarded as intentionally homeless, relieving the authority of any obligation to find alternative accommodation.
