Public Services Management Update: Trading places

Women in senior positions in local government are more likely than men to have gained promotion by changing employers, concludes a study conducted by Inlogov for the Local Government Management Board. Of 400 chief executives just 15 are women, and two-thirds of these have been appointed in the last 18 months.
