Newcastle United have been approached by England's World Cup opponents, Colombia, to play a friendly at St James' Park on 22 March.

Wolverhampton Wanderers will broadcast their FA Cup third-round tie at Darlington on a big screen at Molineux. The club have only been given 520 tickets for the match at Feethams.

The Chelsea defender David Lee has joined Sheffield United on a month's loan. He links up again with his former Stamford Bridge team-mate, Nigel Spackman, who is now the Blades' manager.

The Manchester United defender Ronnie Wallwork has joined Carlisle United on a month's loan.
