With the Easter holidays approaching, the National Maritime Museum at Greenwich is launching an interactive gallery built to look like the interior of an old ship.
The gallery, to be known as "All Hands", is part of the museum's Leopold Muller Education Centre, which opens on 12 April.
The gallery has interactive units and displays relating to life at sea from Viking days to the modern era.
Visitors should not be surprised to find weevil-ridden biscuits, ancient charts and dried fish among the debris on shelves and in drawers.
For more information, ring the museum on 0181 858 4422.
