Election '97: Labour's capital lead

Labour has a 32-point lead over the Conservatives in the capital, according to an opinion poll in yesterday's London Evening Standard.

A MORI poll puts Labour in London on 59 per cent, the Tories on 27 per cent and the Liberal Democrats on 10 per cent.
