Eta prisoners to be transferred

THE SPANISH government agreed yesterday to transfer four Eta prisoners to jails near their homes in the Basque country in its first conciliatory gesture since the separatist group called a ceasefire a month ago. The four men are all ill and are to be imprisoned close to hospitals.
