Fake doctor jailed

An aerobics instructor who admitted posing as a doctor to treat a string of patients was jailed for six months. Christopher Payne, 33, described as a "Walter Mitty" character whose only medical expertise was four months as a nurse in his native South Africa, charged up to pounds 18 a time to inject women in the buttocks, Southwark Crown Court was told.
