Fatherhood for Michael Jackson

The pop singer Michael Jackson (left) became a father yesterday when his wife Debbie Rowe gave birth to a boy, a Los Angeles television station reported. Mother and child were said to be doing well.

Ms Rowe, 37, married Jackson last November in Australia less than a year after his divorce from Lisa Marie Presley. The couple have known each other for several years, since Ms Rowe worked in the Beverly Hills office of Jackson's dermatologist.
