Five people were arrested after a haul of 400 guns was recovered by police at an address in Brighton, Sussex.
The seizure was made at the home of a registered firearms dealer after an operation by the South East Regional Crime Squad. What police describe as a "workshop" was also raided by officers who uncovered tools and equipment used to adapt guns.
Raids were also made at addresses in Blackheath, south-east London, and in Dartford, Kent. Four men and one woman are helping police with inquiries.
