Kenya faces its worst food crisis in 15 years as crop production suffers from devastating rains linked to the El Nino weather phenomenon, food analysts said yesterday. They said commercial imports were now essential to meet 1997/98 (July/June) needs, but some areas would need emergency relief because people there were too poor to pay up.
