German MPs huff and puff, and stub out smoking Bill

The German parliament yesterday rejected a Bill that would have placed strict limits on smoking in public buildings and the workplace.

After a heated two-hour debate, the Bundestag voted by 336-256 against the measure, which would have banned smoking in public buildings and public transportation. It would have also required companies to set up separate rooms for smokers. - Reuters, Bonn
