Girl, 2, injured

A two-year-old girl was said to be in a critical condition in hospital yesterday after an out-of-control car mounted the pavement and hit the child, who was in a pushchair, and her mother in the high street in Kingswinford, West Midlands.

The 17-year-old female driver of the Ford Sierra was treated for shock and a minor injury.
