Girls accused of killing widow

TWO TEENAGE GIRLS were charged yesterday with murdering a widowed pensioner whose body was found dumped in a canal near her home.The girls, 14 and 15, will appear before Oldham Youth Court today accused of killing 71- year-old Lily Lilley on Sunday.

Mrs Lilley's body was recovered on Sunday from the Rochdale Canal a short distance from her home in West Street, Failsworth, near Oldham, where she had lived for more than 25 years.
