An inquiry was under way into allegations of Satanism said to involve teenage girls at the Royal Manor School in Dorset. Three men have been arrested following the allegations, and are being questioned about supplying drugs.

The arrests followed information supplied to police by the News of the World newspaper which said a 15-year-old girl "sex slave" was forced to feed on the blood of a man who had slashed his chest, leaving a wound in the shape of a crucifix. The newspaper said she had been introduced to him by fellow pupils and that the sect's practices included under-age sex and the use of drugs.
