Hacked to death

A man was being held by police last night after two women were found hacked to death with a machete in a flat above a television repair shop.

The 43-year-old man was held after the bodies of Clementine Boultbee- Scott, 50, and her sister Elizabeth Thorn, 53 were were found in pools of blood in the flat in Ashton-under-Lyne, Greater Manchester. The killings were being treated as a domestic incident.
