Hillsborough charges to go ahead

THE PRIVATE prosecution of two retired police officers by families of the victims of the 1989 Hillsborough disaster is to continue after the Crown Prosecution Service said it would not take over and halt the proceedings. Ch Supt David Duckenfield, 53, and Supt Bernard Murray, 56, face charges of manslaughter and neglect of duty.
