A motorcyclist was warned that he faced a jail sentence after he admitted driving dangerously at 160mph.

A speed trap measured Anthony Pearce, 31, of Walmley, Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands, travelling at 178.9mph, Sutton Coldfield magistrates were told. But tests showed his 900 cc machine could not travel at more than 160mph.
