THE INDEPENDENT The price of the Independent from Monday to Friday will increase to 45p on Monday. The last weekday price rise was in October 1990. The increase follows the rising cost of manufacture and distribution. The Daily Telegraph increased its cover price to 45p on 3 February 1992 and the Times followed suit on 30 March.
