'Independent' sales continue to improve

The circulation of the Independent and the Independent on Sunday rose slightly in June, the month the price-cutting war broke out between the Times and the Daily Telegraph. According to audited figures, the Independent sold an average 277,377 copies each day and the Independent on Sunday 333,484, increases on May of 717 and 8,773 respectively. June was the second month running that the sales figures of the Independent titles have improved.
