Iraq has apparently tampered with surveillance cameras and moved sensitive material from view since it began refusing to let US inspectors into suspected weapons sites, the chief UN weapons inspector, Richard Butler, said last night. His teams would try to inspect two sites today "to establish the whereabouts" of material "which has been moved", he added.
Mr Butler suspended UN weapons inspections last week after Baghdad ordered him to expel US members of his team. Talks were held yesterday tobreak the deadlock.
