An Indian asylum-seeker who survived temperatures of -60C after stowing away inside the undercarriage bay of a jumbo jet on a flight from Delhi to Heathrow airport has had his appeal to stay in Britain refused.

Mr Saini, 23, claims he was persecuted by Indian police who accused him of links with Sikh terrorists. His brother Vijay, 19, was killed when he fell from the aircraft over Richmond, Surrey, in October last year.
