The man who moved the BBC's logo from an angle to an upright position for the corporation's latest makeover, Martin Lambie-Nairn, has been appointed to the board of the Millenium Dome.
The New Millenium Experience Company parted with its creative director, Stephen Bayley, last week, and said at the time it would not replace him. Now the company is debating what to call Mr Lambie-Nairn so that he does not seem like a replacement. Design director and design consultant are the favoured options.
In addition to his place on the board Mr Lambie-Nairn's company, The Brand Union, has won a pounds 50,000 contract to design a logo for the Dome. The logo will appear in all literature and marketing.
