Lord Robens dies, aged 88

LORD ROBENS, a cabinet minister in Clement Attlee's post-war Labour government and a former National Coal Board chairman, died yesterday after a long illness, aged 88. He died in his sleep at his home in Chertsey, Surrey, with Lady Robens, his wife of 62 years, at his side.
