An industrial tribunal yesterday upheld claims from two black waitresses that their employers failed to protect them from the racist jokes of comedian Bernard Manning.
The Employment Appeals Tribunal overturned the decision of a Nottingham Industrial Tribunal that the hotel was not responsible for what it described as "a horrible experience".
