The BBC has finally caught up with Channel 4 and commissioned a series pitched at lesbians and gays. The as-yet-unnamed BBC2 offering via Planet 24, creators of The Word, will focus on fun and froth rather than on worthiness. All the series producer, Neal Cromby, has to worry about is creating the show from scratch inside six weeks. Easy.
