Rush Limbaugh is the king of right-wing radio talk shows, but some of his courtiers think he is even bigger than that: they think he has a line to God.

The Limbaugh people threw a party for sponsors in San Jose, California. KCSA, the local radio station, carries Rush and were looking forward to his visit. The day before the do, KCSA's weatherman wrote a forecast promising rain. After the Limbaugh people got wind of it, he was told to change it to a sunnier outlook. He refused ... and was fired. A KCSA spokesman said the dismissal was a "misunderstanding".

The party? Just as food was served, the heavens opened.
