BSkyB report delivered to Hunt
A report by Ofcom into Rupert Murdoch's bid to take over BSkyB was delivered to Jeremy Hunt, the Culture Secretary, last night.
The broadcasting regulator was expected to recommend that the planned acquisition by News Corporation should be examined by the Competition Commission.
The Culture Secretary has until the end of this month to decide whether to refer the bid to the Commission. Mr Hunt assumed responsibility for the contentious takeover after Vince Cable, the Business Secretary, was recorded saying he had "declared war" on the Murdoch media empire.
