Clarke Carlisle is to appear on the BBC's Question Time.

The 31-year-old defender will join Burnley fan and former Labour spin doctor Alastair Campbell, Liberal Democrat Simon Hughes and George Galloway.

He said: "I just hope I can give a layman's perspective on things."
