The Aston Villa goalkeeper Mark Bosnich was yesterday charged with misconduct by the Football Association for making a Nazi-style salute to Tottenham Hotspur fans.

The FA said the Australian star's case would be considered by a disciplinary commission "in the near future". A spokesman added: "The FA have also had several contacts today with police and we understand their investigation into an alleged public order offence will continue." Sport, page 28
