NHS fraud inquiry

Four people were arrested and released on police bail following allegations that two locum agencies have defrauded NHS Trusts of sums that may run into millions of pounds by double-billing them for the services of doctors. The Audit Commission is assisting the Companies Fraud Squad of the Metropolitan Police in its investigation.
