In your article "Major to join great Tory bookslide" (29 June), you quote Jeffrey Archer: "I know [John Major] is more inclined to lead a more peaceful life now ... the problem is that he will have to do something". I was under the impression that Mr Major was MP for Huntingdon, or isn't that considered a proper job?
