The corrupt Government official Gordon Foxley, who became a millionaire by taking bribes for setting up defence contracts, has gone bankrupt.

The 71-year-old former director of munitions procurement at the Ministry of Defence served two years of a four-year jail sentence. Nearly 1,000 jobs were lost at the Royal Ordnance factory in Blackburn, Lancashire, after it missed out on a contract because of his fraudulent deals. Foxley lives in a pounds 750,000 mansion house with its own swimming pool at Harpsden, near Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire.
