A workman died during preparations for Oasis' concerts on the banks of Loch Lomond in Scotland. The ambulance service said the site worker, in his late twenties, was believed to have been crushed between a lorry and a fork-lift truck.

The man was dead on arrival at the Vale of Leven hospital. He was thought to have been involved in testing the sound system for the concerts, which are expected to attract 80,000 fans tonight and tomorrow.
