Norway warned on Rushdie

IRAN has warned that continued contacts between Norwegian officials and Salman Rushdie might further damage relations. The warning was made by a foreign ministry spokesman Mahmoud Mohammadi after the Norwegian Prime Minister, Kjell Magne Bondevik, met the writer in Oslo on Friday. Rushdie was visiting Norway to receive an honorary doctorate at Tromso university. - Reuters, Tehran
